Thin Lines

the more we move the more we confuse

the more we blend the more we rebrand

our old beliefs

that kept us heaps

in dust and grime

yet we may very well remain blind

what we see is not true

rely on your eyes only

and you lose sight

to glimpse the light of another

you must embrace them as a brother

for all divisions are lies

all international borders thin lines

on a map where

the rivers and deserts would all tell you

that all they’ve ever seen

are beings, yes, you

different shapes, colours and sizes of a familiar hue

moving in time to our people’s march

above, an arch

completing a cycle,

recognizing that

(the more we move…)
